Joshua's first time on Purdue's campus.
Saturday afternoon we went to campus to check out the National Rube Goldberg contest.

According to the program Webster's New World Dictionary defines Rube Goldberg as a comically involved, complicated invention, laboriously contived to perform a simple operation.
As you can see above, this year's task was to dispense an appropriate amount of hand sanitizer into a hand. The machines had to have a minimum of 20 steps and run for no more than 2 minutes.
Joshua was very interested in the machines, ha!
This was Penn State's machine ~ one of our favorites. It had an Indiana Jone's theme.
There was a college contest & a high school contest. The next pictures are of a couple of the high school machines.

Purdue's entry. It didn't do very well on the run we saw.
After the contest we headed to my parents. Joshua was all smiles so of course many pictures were taken. Enjoy!
He looks so grown up in this picture. I'm not sure why, but he just looks like a big boy from his profile.

Sunday after church Jim started working on our garden. He got seeds and greenhouse trays.
He really wanted me to take this picture!
In these trays are seeds for peppers, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, roma tomatoes and zucchini.

Can't wait to get these plants going and then out into the garden. We just love fresh veggies!

Joshua reached out and pet Duke today after church. Duke just sat there and let Joshua pet / hit / grab him!
