Indianapolis Zoo with Grandma & Grandpa Stephens

So sweet!

He didn't want mommy or daddy's hand to hold.

So glad to get this picture of the 3 generations ~ bonus is everyone is looking at the camera & eyes are open!

Joshua had no problem getting up to the glass to look at the animals with the bigger kids! This kid isn't shy!

Mommy & baby giraffe

Joshua had his fingers in his mouth most of the day. He's really been working on getting teeth in. He got 2 molars last week!

As stated in previous post, I'm a big fan of elephants. They are just amazing. So... here's 3 pictures :)

Joshua is doing better about leaving a hat on his head. Well, in this picture he has Grandpa's hat on his head.... and the next picture, Grandpa has Joshua's hat on his head.

DOLPHINS!!!











And there's some....and there's some.... I don't have enough fingers to point to all of them!!

It was nice and cool under ground in the dolphin exhibit. The show was closed because one of the mama dolphins had given birth on Friday and they were giving time for them to get adjusted.

I see the polar bear!!

The pictures are deceiving. He never actually touched the shark. Every time it got close he pulled his hand back.

Fun times with Grandma!!

We had so much fun at the zoo! It was about 2pm before we left and it was HOT!!!

Grandma & Grandpa brought new outside toys for Joshua. A wheel barrow & tools!

Grandma said it's not their fault if Joshua thinks he can work in daddy's garden now.  Ha Ha!

When Gma & Gpa gave him these at the zoo he knew exactly what to do with the wheel barrow.

Seriously, so cute!!

Jim's Garden

Jim's Garden, 2011 edition:

Cucumbers: 6 plants

Tomatoes: 10 Roma, 2 cherry

Peppers: 8 green bell peppers, 6 sweet peppers, 4 jalapeno, 4 hot Hungarian wax peppers, 3 habanero peppers, 3 colored peppers - 28 peppers total

Beans: 1 row

Cantaloupe: 4 plants

Pumpkins: 4 plants

Egg plant: 1 plant

Zucchini: 2 plants

Squash: 1 Butternut, 2 1 yellow squash

Sunflowers: 1 row

The sunflower seeds on the far right starting to come up. The bean seeds are right next to them, but haven't sprouted much yet.

The cantaloupe plants in boxes outside the back of our fence. There are 2 plants per box.

The pumpkin plants. They are a bit on the yellow side. Jim's done some research and there some fungus plaguing pumpkin plants this year, so we'll see how they turn out.

Need my help daddy?

The dark mulch is to help keep the soil warm. It should help the tomatoes bloom faster and longer.

The herb garden:

Mint, Cilantro, basil, oregano, & sage

The tomatoes & zucchini plants have already had blooms starting on them. The beans are popping up like crazy (it's been a few days since I took the pictures above) & the sunflowers are a full row of little green plants! I'm getting excited about the all the yummy things (and other random things Jim seems to think are yummy) in the garden!! Jim does a great job planing, planting and tending to the garden. Thanks, Jim!!
