 We've been taking advantage of the unusually warm weather for this time of year. Hard to believe we've been in shorts for a week in the middle of March!

Joshua's bike (as he calls it) attaches to daddy's bike.



We've been enjoying some family bike rides. Joshua yells "fast, daddy, fast"!

Joshua was trying to do everything daddy was doing. So sweet & so cute!

Daddy rented a truck to get some compost for the new raised garden bed.

There was one excited little boy when daddy came home with this big truck!

Spring Break!

This past week was Purdue's spring break. Daddy took the week off and Mommy actually took 3 1/2 days off too!!!

We wanted to make the most of our family time!

We started at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis ( http://www.childrensmuseum.org/)

We bought a family membership & plan on making lots more trips here over the next year!!

This is the area called playscapes. It's for 5 and younger. Great area for the little ones!!

Of course in Indianapolis there's an Indy Race car!

Well, if we aren't going to go sledding, we can at least have snack in our sled!

Mamaw & Papaw got Joshua this cart. It hooks on to Daddy's bike so we can go for family bike rides!

We also spent a day at Fair Oaks Farms (http://www.fofarms.com/en/home)

This is the milking carousel. There are around 2800-2900 cows. They are milked 3 times a day & it take 7 hours to complete 1 full milking. It's a 24 hour operation. They have an hour to break down, sanitise and set back up and start milking again.

Cheese!

This is the sign outside of the birthing barn. The yellow light says "hoofs", Green as you can see below says "head". This tells you what's going on in the barn. They have 20+ calf's born each day on the farm. We got to see 2 born while we were there.

We had grilled cheese sandwich, chocolate milk & ice cream when we were done looking around. All the products were made at the Fair Oaks farms. Yummy!!

It was my honor to get to go to my dear friend's promotion ceremony while on vacation. Chris has been with the Lafayette Police Department for 24 years and just became one of only 3 captions on the force.

Chris is a great father, husband and man of faith.

Chris was an usher at our wedding & their girls (who can both drive now) were our flower girls!

So blessed to have great friends like the Downard's!
