This was my other garage sale find... a step 2 picnic table ~ nearly brand new! $20!

I'm very excited about my garage sale finds. These were exactly what I wanted for this summer, and what a deal we got on them!! I have a feeling Joshua will run up the stairs and slide down the slide for hours on end. Many of snack and juice breaks will happen at the picnic table too!

Memorial Day Weekend

Jim & I started Memorial Day weekend a little early. We both took Friday off and headed up to Chicago to see a Cubs game. We had a total of 31 in our group.

Too bad it wasn't a great game to watch. The Cubs lost 4-2. It was actually chilly - 60 was the high and our seats were in the shade. It was a fun day anyway!!

Sunday we went to Great Grandma Barbara's house for lunch and family time.

Joshua & his new bat. So far we haven't taught him to swing ~ that seems way to dangerous!

Monday we went to the local zoo & park....Joshua loved it!!

Joshua did a great job petting the goats. 9 of the goats are pregnant and will have babies this summer.

Joshua couldn't believe there was a windmill just like Great Grandma's at the zoo! He kept point up to it!

This chair was mine when I was little. It's fun to be able to have Joshua using it now!

Monday evening we met Grandma and Grandpa Pershing at the Lindy Freeze in Linden.

We played, had dinner, played, had ice cream & played some more! It was great!!

 Can't wait to do it again soon!

Who's having more fun ~ Joshua or the grandparents? ha!

After a long, fun, hot day it was definitely bath time!!

Joshua's personality is really starting to show. I love this picture because, of course, his big blue eyes showing but also because the look on his face. 

 "Put that camera down" is how I translate that look!

 (Sorry, buddy. Not a chance mommy's going to put down the camera!)

 David came down for a short visit.

The boys just ran around the yard and enjoyed the fresh air outside!

This is my tree.

I like to point at it out the back door when I'm inside.

When I'm outside I like to hold the trunk and look up at the leaves.

It won't be long before I'm going to climb this tree.
