Friends, Showing off Joshua, Christmas (3 of them) & Cousin time!

It's only been 9 days since I've updated, but so much has happened in that time...

Joshua visited Aunt Jennifer at her office. Aunt Jennifer had no problem showing him off to everyone in her office!

We also visited Grandpa Bruce at his office, but I forgot to take a picture. (Sorry Dad!)

On to Christmas...

Christmas with Grandma Dana, Grandpa Bruce & Aunt Jennifer

So, Joshua was 12 days old on Christmas Eve. I was surprised he got a toy to ride since he can't hold up his own head yet. Grandma Dana proved he could "ride" it now...

Grandma Dana got a flash drive from Joshua for Christmas. She can't wait to get it filled with pictures of him!

Next we went to Great Grandma Barbara & Great Grandpa Don's house for Christmas. We were so happy that Great Grandpa was able to get out of bed for a good portion of Christmas Day! 

We went to Ft. Wayne the day after Christmas to visit with Jim's family. We were so happy to have all the Stephens' together! Tom, Sue, Savannah & Isaiah flew in from Savannah Georgia. Dave & Jackie came down from South Bend.

Okay...I think that gets us all caught up now. Hope everyone had a great Christmas! We feel very blessed to have gotten to spend time with both our families!

Play date, church & Great grandparents

Joshua had his first play date on Saturday. My friend Andrea and her son Little David came down for a visit. Little David is 3 1/2 weeks old, Joshua was 7 days old. So it really wasn't much of a play date as much as mommy talk time. :)

Today we took Joshua to church for the frist time. He was a big hit! We cause a traffic jam in the hallway for sure. Such a blessing to introduce Joshua to all the people who have been praying for him. Joshua did great during the service, didn't make a sound!

After church we went for a visit with Great Grandma Barbara & Great Grandpa Don.

After a visit to the Great Grandparents we went to see Grandma Dana & Grandpa Bruce. We found Aunt Jennifer at their house too!

Grandma decided since we were all at the house she wanted to get a picture of the six of us. She called the neighbor Katie down to take the picture. This is the first time she met Joshua.

We were tired after our big day out. We came home to rest. Jim made a nice dinner  & we have been  relaxing at home this evening.

We had a big day yesterday. We went to the doctor, hospital, lunch, Target and the flower shop. The doctor's appointmnet went well. The doctor would like him to gain some some weight. He was 7lbs, 2 oz. at his appointment.

We headed home after our visit to the shop. We were all tired and ready for a nap!

okay, so normally I wouldn't put a picture of my butt or my mom's on the blog, but it's such a cute picture of Duke. He didn't know what we were doing to his baby, but he wanted to see and help.

If you know my sister (aka Aunt Jennifer) you will understand that she's always got pictures with her tongue hanging out. Becoming an aunt hasn't changed anything!

Joshua & Duke

There have been lots of big changes around our house this week and Duke is doing a great job adjusting. At first he was not sure what to do when Joshua cried or made sound. Now Duke just "checks on his baby" when a sound is made. He'll come running from anywhere in the house to make sure someone knows that Joshua has made a sound. Joshua & Duke are getting to be best buds!

We are headed out of the house for the first time today. Joshua has a doctor's appointment and has to get some blood work done. We will post after the doctor's visit. Have a great day!

Joshua Campbell Stephens

Joshua was born 11:38 pm on December 12. He was 7 lbs, 14 oz and 20 1/2 inches.  We are all doing just fine.

We are home now. Came home last night (Monday night) around 8:30pm.

 
Duke and Joshua have met and are doing just fine. Duke is very very protective of his baby!  Every sound Joshua makes Duke has to check out if he is okay. The real issue is Duke doesn't understand when Joshua cries, so Duke cries/whines/barkes at the same time. We'll have to work on that.
