Father's Day & Jim's Birthday

For Father's day & for Jim's birthday he wanted a new grill....

Our first meal off the grill...pork chops, of course!

When we celebrated Jim's birthday, my family came over.

Joshua had just gotten his play house ($20 from a neighbor) so he wanted to show it to everyone.

Grandpa said something about it would be easier to pick up the play house and set it over his shoulders rather than crawling in and out of it. :)

For his birthday dinner this is what Jim made.... grilled pork loin...sooo good!

After all that playing, Joshua needed a bath. He's showing Great Grandma Barbara his toy.

Desserts... key lime ice cream, key lime pie  & key lime ice cream cake...and Jim had all 3!!

So glad Jim does so much of the cooking on the grill. It keeps the house cooler and tastes sooooo good!

4-h fair (day 1)

4th of July

We spent the weekend with Grandma & Grandpa Stephens, Uncle Dave, Aunt Jackie & Cousin Ben.

(I actually drove back to Lafayette for a wedding ~ see Weddings and Whatnot post~ then came back to Ft. Wayne)

Basket rides!! Jim was surprised how heavy the were!

Joshua isn't used to being the oldest kiddo around... he had lots of fun doing crawling races with Ben!

Grandpa Gary introduced Joshua to banana popsicles. Jim said "I've never seen Joshua sit so still" He loves them and we've since gotten some for home. :)

The fish fry: Grandpa Gary, Uncle Dave and Daddy went fishing a couple of weeks before the 4th. They brought back some fish so they fried them up!

and they made hush puppies too!

When we got home from Grandma & Grandpa's house we (Joshua was in bed) enjoyed the neighbor's fireworks. I had fun playing with my camera... it's got a fireworks setting!

Girls day out!!

Before my cousin Shannon moved to State College, we had a girls day out. Grandma Evelyn, Aunt Brenda, Mom, Sis, Shannon & I.

For dinner we went to the Melting Pot.... so good & very interesting!!

What fun is dessert if it's not on fire??

The melting pot was very good. We ate 3 course and it took 2.5 hours. Everything was great!!
